Arkansas Literacy Intervention Matrix
The Arkansas Literacy Intervention Matrix includes (a)―best practice‖, research based,
curricular approaches, (b) probes to assist teachers in functional analysis of possible
deficits in literacy, linked to, (c) sample lessons providing a framework to address a
particular skill deficit. These lessons include interventions to use when students are not
acquiring critical skills in these curricula and need different and/or more intensive
strategies to facilitate mastery across the five essential elements of literacy.

Joe Witt’s Reading Center
The Reading Center is an evidenced-based reading intervention that helps improve
reading fluency, reading comprehension and reading vocabulary. The stories and
materials were written to carefully control reading level and content. All materials are
carefully sequenced in terms of readability. You will also find reading probes for
progress monitoring.

Starfall’s systematic phonics approach, in conjunction with phonemic awareness practice
is for preschool, kindergarten, first grade, second grade, special education, homeschool,
and English language development (ELD, ELL, ESL). Starfall is an educational
alternative to other entertainment choices for children.

Chart Dog2.0
ChartDog is a web-based program that constructs customized progress-monitoring time-
series graphs from data-values entered by the user. ChartDog is a useful tool for charting
and analyzing outcome data to determine whether a student has made significant
improvements in academic or behavioral goals in response to classroom interventions.
