Conservation League (JCL) kids have
been busy being active outdoors.
In January the outdoor kids took a
step back in time as they snow shoed
their way through Call State Park just
as Native Americans once did.
The kids learned about the historical
significance of snowshoes as well as
different techniques for maneuvering
around obstacles and hills. This
included the ever-popular sledding
technique where kids squat and sled
down big hills using their snowshoes
as skis.
In February the JCL’ers took to
