Under coach Newton Chelette the AVC Tournament has seen significant changes going from 16 teams and becoming the Rancho Viista Shootout,
and significant Marauder success. AVC has won five tournaments since 1989. It has been in the championship game 11 times. The Marauders
are 37-15 in the tournament since 1989. Against teams in the 2007 Tournament, AVC is 4-2 against Moorpark, 8-1 against Canyons, 3-3 against
MiraCosta, 1-0 against Glendale and 2-2 against Riverside.
