59% of Small Biz Owners Wish There Were More Mobile Apps Relevant to Their Business
A majority (59%) of small business owners strongly agree (15%) or somewhat agree (44%) with the statement that they “wish that there were more mobile technologies relevant to [their] business.”
65% of Small Biz Owners Say Mobile Technology at Least Somewhat Important to Success of Business
Going Mobile – A majority of small business owners (65%) view mobile technology as at least somewhat important to their current business success, and a larger majority (74%) believe that such technology will be at least somewhat important to the future success of their business.
Lack of Relevant Uses Biggest Barrier to Small Business Owner Use of Mobile Technology
33% of small business owners cited “few relevant uses for my business” as the biggest barrier to them taking advantage of mobile technology. The other barriers identified were: Cost (25%), Making time to learn which technology is right for my business (14%), Lack of technical expertise (11%), Security concerns (7%), Lack of time to install and implement (4%). Other barriers identified without specific percentages include network issues, reliability, coverage area and access speed.
