Zoë has worked with hundreds of individuals and groups in the field of personal development, mostly in outdoor experiential education. She has led many canoe trips in northwest Ontario and also worked for Outward Bound Australia for ten years. She has also run 6 full marathons (yes –that’s 42.2 km each one). The last one was 7 months after completing surgery and chemotherapy for cancer. As a Law of Attraction Coach, Zoë helps groups and individuals raise their awareness about how their thoughts, beliefs, and emotions affect their ability to manifest their goals. Knowing what you want and what is important to you is essential for living a brilliant bowl-me-over-with-a-feather-I’m-so-happy life. Here are some simple ways to clarify your desires. 􀂉 Refer to your vision board or prosperity binder Collect images, words, articles, pictures, and brochures for everything that strikes your fancy and makes you feel tingly all over. Keep the binder or vision board somewhere where you can look at it and feel happiness ooze through you each day. 􀂉 Script your life, job, and relationships Write the story of your perfect day/job/house/relationship. Write in present tense, in great detail, using all your senses. For an even more advanced version of this, record yourself reading the script and listen to it just before you are about to fall asleep. 􀂉 Visualise your desires Picture your desires in your mind’s eye and get in to the feeling of what it would be like to have these things/situation right now. The aim is to keep focussed and to feel good about your intentions. 􀂉 Review your list of 10 000 goals This is a lot of goals! They can be big ones as well as little ones. Here are some topics to help you get your 10 000: People you’d like to meet, places to visit, adventures to experience, cool things to do, things to own, meals to eat, restaurants to try. Everything is an environment: your friends, home, car, clothes, colleagues, what you read, what you listen to. These environments are either supporting you or creating obstacles for you. When you clean them up, you’ll experience a lack of resistance in your life. This is more than just ‘cleaning’ however: it is about creating spaces that inspire you, energise you, and rejuvenate you so you are always at your best. Hint: this feels like being in the flow of things. Very nice indeed. 􀂉 Music This is one of the most powerful mood boosters around. For anyone who has ever cleaned the house listening to the Rocky Horror Picture Show or done a workout to Rocky’s Eye of the Tiger theme song will know what I mean. Music can also be relaxing and energising too. What are you listening to? Some other background noise can also increase productivity and creativity. I have noticed a huge surge in my creative output since I started playing Flightwave synchronised nature sounds in the background while I am working. These work by providing sounds of different wavelengths to force your own brainwaves to process at a frequency that enhances creativity. Very cool technology. I got the system through my membership at Wealth Beyond Reason. There are other brain wave synch programs out there to assist with meditation etc. This is the one I have tried and recommend. Very cool. 􀂉 Free yourself from clutter Nothing kills energy flow like clutter. Piles of clothes, paper, books, and junk – all this can really block your energy. Clutter basically translates as unfinished business which is draining to step over, move around, and even ignore. Lighten your life by dumping the junk. For more details on how to bust the clutter and get organised, see Absolute Productivity. 􀂉 Everything clean and shiny Nothing is more uplifting than a clean environment! Once you have busted that clutter, make sure your space is clean too. The brightness and shininess is really uplifting. I use Enjo micro-fibre products for chemical free cleaning using limited water. It’s good for the environment and does an absolutely smashing job of making the place sparkle. 􀂉 Get support A coach is super-charged way of getting to the heart of any resistance you may be experiencing. A coach is fast-tracking environment for you to deal with issues, clarify intentions, and galvanise action like never before. o Zoë Routh. Daily habits reinforce patterns of moments. When you choose habits that are empowering and feel good, then you have a life that is empowered and feels good. 􀂉 Savour a 10 minute meditation When you still the mind, relax, and simply experience the now, you allow a whole range of positive benefits. These include: enhanced creativity, stress release, lowered blood pressure, and less resistance to the good things in life. There are some excellent guided meditations and meditation resources in Wealth Beyond Reason. 10 minutes a day is a great start. You’ll be amazed at how good it feels. 􀂉 Drink 2 litres of water Water hydrates, nourishes, and cleanses all the cells of the body. Without properly hydrated cells, the body itself suffers. When the body suffers, your creativity, energy, and enjoyment also suffers. Make sure you keep your body fully hydrated with adequate water through drinking purified water (8 glasses per day) in addition to fresh fruits and vegetables, fresh juices, and herbal teas and tonics. 􀂉 Exercise and feel alive Moving that body is a great way to stay connected to the now, release stress, and attract more energy in to your life. It keeps your body and mind functioning at high levels. I am sure I do not need to tell you how important exercise is! You’d have to have been in a coma for 50 years not to know the benefits of regular activity. Make sure you do something active each day, even if it is only walking for five minutes or a little stretching. Stay connected to that magnificent creation that is your body! 􀂉 Express genuine gratitude Life is all about feeling good. The easiest and simplest way to feel good in a nano-second is to be thankful. You can start by being thankful for the most basic of things, such as having air to breathe, clothes on your body, a computer to read this report, a lifetime of experiences behind you, and this gorgeous planet to live on and discover. © 2007 Zoë Routh www.innercompass.com.au 9 Clean up your energy Energy either flows or it is blocked. We’ve all got blocks. Energy blocks are beliefs and feelings that we have picked up by default throughout our life from our parents, community, and culture and through various incidents and experiences we’ve had. If these thoughts and feelings do not feel good, then they are blocking your experience of abundance. The basic rule – if it doesn’t feel good, get rid of it! Here’s how to unblock some of these blocks and get good energy flowing again: 􀂉 Morning pages, from Julia Cameron’s, The Artist’s Way Clear our mental debris each morning by writing three pages of a brain dump. It does not matter what you write – just keep the pen moving. You will find yourself offloading all kinds of rubbish. Your brain will be a lot lighter and more clear after you have jettisoned this junk. You will feel refreshed and liberated. Awesome. 􀂉 EFT Emotional Freedom Technique is a releasing technique that is based on the knowledge of acupuncture and energy meridians. This tapping process scrambles old emotional and thought patterns to move you in to a better feeling place. Bob Doyle is a major advocate of this technique, as am I. It is quite magical in its ability to shift thoughts and feelings. You can check it all out for free at www.emofree.com 􀂉 Get outside in nature Nature is an instant mood shifter. You can feel the energy, the vibrancy, and aliveness of the world when you are out amongst the trees, or by a lake or by the sea, or even just walking around outside, where you are. There is always a bit of sky to ponder and feel the vastness of the universe. Being in nature is a great way to remind yourself of the eternal nature of the world, and to find peace again. 􀂉 Get connected Do you feel connected with other people? If you feel isolated, you are experiencing the illusion of separation. We are all in fact connected as we are all made of energy. Energy exists as vibrations of different frequencies that travel in waves and interact with one another. If you still feel isolated, make the decision to connect first. Smile at someone while walking down the street, say hello to the person checking out your groceries, give someone a hug. Even if you do not have someone nearby, send out a mental hug, or a mental smile to someone you know. They’ll get it, and you’ll feel better for having sone something nice for someone. 􀂉 Just for the joy of it When was the last time you did something just for the simple pleasure and joy of it? Like walking in the rain, or watching the clouds, or reading a © 2007 Zoë Routh www.innercompass.com.au 10 magazine, or having a bath, or going out for lunch? Not everything needs a purpose and a reason. In fact, feeling good, and feeling joy is the best reason of all for doing anything. 􀂉 Goofing off When was the last time you learned something new? Or played frisbee? Or swam in a lake? Or had your friends over for dinner and a game of Trivial Pursuit? The sole purpose of goofing off is to experience fun. Pick a new goof off skill to learn, and go and have some fun. 􀂉 In the now When you start thinking about deliberate creation of your world, it is easy to get caught up in dreaming about what’s next and ignoring what’s here and now. Even if the here and now does not look like what you desire next, now is the moment you only have – ever. So the message is to start finding joy now, as you attract and create your future moments. Start living now. Noticing your breathing is a good way to start. When you breathe, you know that you are alive – now. This is something to be very grateful for. Cape Range, Australia© 2007 Zoë Routh www.innercompass.com.au 11 Money Money is energy. It also represents the perceived value of the exchange of other energy. For example, to enjoy the energy of food, you exchange money as the designated, perceived value of that food. Money facilitates the exchange of energy. Since money is energy like everything else, however, it also behaves as energy. It vibrates and has a certain frequency. As an energy being yourself, you are either in resonance with money’s vibration or you are not. Your relationship with money determines the energetic resonance you have with money. If you feel good about money, then you have a positive vibration towards money and this will facilitate the easy flow of money through your experience. If you feel bad about money, then you will continue to attract things, people, and circumstances that make you feel bad about money. Ugh. Here are a few ways to change your relationship with money and start a positive flow of money energy: 􀂉 Treat money with respect and love. Treat money as you would your best friend: pay it attention, take note of it, notice where it flows in and out of your life, express gratitude for its presence in your life, learn all you can about it (how to save, how to invest, how to create more of it through business). Keep track of it. Don’t just shove it in your pockets, fold bills in a nice wallet, and put coins in a lovely jar. When you start enjoying money in small ways, it will improve your resonance with money in bigger ways. 􀂉 Give some away. When you know and feel the value of money and how good it is to have it and to be able to spend it, give this gift to someone else too. Feel the joy in sharing wealth. Make your day by making someone else’s. If you struggle with the idea of letting go of money when you feel you have very little, then start with baby steps. Leave a bigger tip than usual. Leave some coins for a street performer. Pay for someone else’s coffee. Have fun with these simple and easy ways to feel good around money. So you’ve made your list, done your vision board, and revamped your environments. Let’s check on something: are you enjoying yourself? If the answer is anything less than a resounding ‘yes’, then you are still not allowing yourself to feel good about re-designing your life. Let’s be clear about something here: living a Law of Attraction lifestyle is not about doing all the right things to get all the right stuff. Law of Attraction living is about enjoying yourself, now, as well as in the future when it arrives. So if this has felt like hard work, stop, go back to the beginning, and start over with a lightness, a sense of fun and adventure, and pleasure in simple things. What a simple list!

Some of the points are things I really ought to consider - 10,00 goals seems like a lot, but what a great way to define what we really want out of life!

This article offers wonderful tips on living and living well and healthy. Great photos too! I can refer back to this whenever I'm a little down and will know that it will be a pick me up. Thanks.
